Week 1 | FASST Plan Foundations

Learn how food affects how you feel, think, and sleep and how combining the right types of foods at every meal can help you live a healthier life. Dr. Bridges discusses the 3 main pillars of the FASST Plan and why this way of eating is so effective. You’ll learn the hidden truths about the food industry and why so many people today are suffering from chronic illnesses.  You’ll meet health coach, Alicia Smith, and learn how to set up a clean eating kitchen and strategies for saving time and money at the grocery store.

Week 2 | The importance Of Stabilized Blood Sugar

Dr. Bridges discusses the 3 main macronutrients and how they function and work together to fuel your body. You’ll learn about the 3 hormones of cravings and how the interplay between these hormones is necessary in stabilizing blood sugar and maintaining ideal body weight. You’ll learn about insulin resistance and how it can increase your chances of developing disease like diabetes and heart disease. You’ll learn how to create nourishing and satisfying meals following the FASST plan guidelines and how to incorporate your favorite meals and treats into this way of eating.

Week 3 | The Truth About Fat And Cholesterol

All fats are not created equal. You will learn which fats to avoid and which fats are essential to optimal health. You will learn what it means to be fat adapted and why it’s so important for your body to burn fat as fuel. Dr. Bridges explains how fat is essential for brain health and how eating the right fats can help prevent and even improve neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. You’ll learn the truth about cholesterol and how it is not the primary cause of heart disease. You will also learn the #1 tool to cook efficiently at home.

Week 4 | Leaky Gut and Systemic Inflammation

Learn how your diet can affect how well your immune system functions. Dr. Bridges explains leaky gut and systemic inflammation and the dangerous affects they can have on your body.  You will see how your immune system, together with a collection of healthy bacteria, work to create a strong defense to protect and keep you healthy. You’ll learn ways to heal leaky gut and systemic inflammation naturally and how the food you eat plays a major role in this process. 

We’ll expose the truth behind food marketing and break down what all the labels on packaged food really mean.

Week 5 | The Microbiome & Course Completion

Did you know that you are a “superhost” to a collection of organisms that can dictate your state of health. This week you will learn about the microbiome and its major impacts on your mental and physical health. We’ll explore the progression of our microbiome over the past 10,000 years and how shifts in our environment affect the makeup of our gut flora. You learn ways to support and promote a healthy gut flora and how a stable microbiome can decrease systemic inflammation and reduce your risk of chronic disease. 

We will celebrate your completion of the FASST Course and teach you how to stay in the “FASST LANE” while dining out and traveling.  Dr. Bridges discusses challenges, victories, and tips on maintaining your momentum on your journey to a healthy lifestyle.

MEET THE TEAM

Carol Bridges is a family practice physician and has been practicing medicine in Missoula, MT for over 20 years. Her passion for nutrition and using food as prevention and treatment of disease stemmed from her early years as a physician. She has focused primarily on reversing and preventing chronic disease through up-to-date nutrition practices. She has been able to help patients with fatigue, chronic pain, high blood pressure, diabetes, GERD, brain fog, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, bloating and weight gain – just to name a few. In 2015 she partnered with Certified Health Coach, Alicia Smith. Together they started a 5-week live nutrition bootcamp that has helped hundreds of people make the necessary dietary changes to optimize their health. The FASST Plan is the result of extensive research and experience successfully treating patients through nutrition and watching them transform their health.
